Getting Busy, 2015
Made collaboratively by artists Jasmine Targett and Debbie Symons
Getting Busy is a three-dimensional enlarged print of a native Angasi oyster, hand-cast in bronze. The work is informed by a research project investigating the viability of establishing an oyster farm in Melbourne’s Docklands, reflecting on the intersection of urban development, aquaculture, and environmental sustainability.
Getting Busy was exhibited at part of The Catchments Project during the first studio-based artist in residency program at Creative Spaces Carlton Connect Studio, LAB14.
